Accessibility Features on the Bus

  • Every bus is equipped with a boarding ramp or power lift.
  • Nearly half of our buses are low-floor buses that can "kneel," lowering the first step closer to the curb for easier boarding.
  • Ramps, lifts and kneeling are available to anyone who has difficulty climbing steps. Just ask the operator.
  • Buses have securement areas on board with room for two mobility devices.
  • A sign in the bus lights up when a stop has been requested.
  • Bus operators announce major stops and transfer points on all routes. You can also ask the operator to announce when a specific stop is coming.
  • Ticket machines have instructions in audio, raised letter and Braille.

Boarding with a mobility device

If you use a wheelchair or scooter, or have limited mobility, please read our instructions for boarding the bus with a mobility device.
