Light rail work impacts traffic on SE Flavel St east of 92nd Ave

Flavel will close May 30-June 2

I-205 Light Rail construction will close SE Flavel St east of SE 92nd Ave. on Friday, May 30 and will reopen it on Monday, June 2. Crews are building an "at grade" rail crossing on Flavel. Flaggers and signs will detour traffic to SE Foster or Otty roads from 8 p.m. on Friday until 5 p.m. on June 2.

Station construction continues through the summer with increased truck traffic and lane shifts on SE Flavel St and SE 92nd Ave.

About the project

TriMet's fifth MAX line will add light rail between Gateway Transit Center and Clackamas Town Center, and to 5th and 6th avenues in downtown Portland between Union Station and Portland State University (PSU). It is the first light rail extension into Clackamas County, it will serve the heart of downtown Portland and the busiest transit destination in the TriMet system - PSU. When it opens in September 2009, it will help revitalize the Mall and poise the region for future rail extensions.
