TriMet adds service for Race for the Cure

More MAX available on Sunday morning

TriMet will add early morning MAX service to help riders get to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure at the Waterfront Park on Sunday, Sept. 21.

Extra MAX service will begin at 6 a.m., with nine more trains running every 15 minutes until 9 a.m. Following the race, 10 shuttle buses will be deployed as-needed.

Plan extra time

During the event bus riders should add an extra 10 minutes during their Sunday morning trips. Numerous bus stops will be closed in downtown and NW Portland with signs directing riders to nearby available stops. Regular TriMet fares apply.

Buy your tickets in advance

TriMet staff will be at the Komen Health Fair at the Oregon Convention Center on Friday, Sept. 19, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 20, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to have race day tickets available for purchase. The tickets will only be valid on race day, Sept. 21. With the large number of riders during race day, TriMet encourages riders to buy tickets in advance.
